Clock Tower

Houses of Parliament "Tower Bridge"
Clock tower containing "Big Ben", London

This famous 320-foot clock tower is often mistakenly referred to as "Big Ben." That is in fact the name of the large bell, dating from 1858 and named after Sir Benjamin Hall, which rings hourly within the tower. Each of the four clock dials stands 24 feet tall; they have kept time for the nation since the clock's debut in May 1859.
