Queen Mary
This case aboard the QE2 commemorates the "Queen Mary", a proud former flagship of the Cunard line.
The Queen Mary, which sailed under the Cunard flag until 1967, now sits in Long Beach harbor, California, USA. Its boilers have been removed per agreement with Cunard that it never sail again. Purchased by the City of Long Beach in 1967, it was originally slated for use as convention space (located in the vacated boiler spaces) and as a floating hotel. Financial problems left the Queen Mary in disuse during the early 1990s, until a non-profit organization took over its care and maintenance.
